Rachel and Brendon met and fell in love while competing on CBS’s Big Brother 12 (summer 2010). They fought side by side and while they did not win the grand prize they won something more valuable, each other. Rachel the feisty red-head, originally from North Carolina and Brendon the PhD student currently at UCLA were that seasons most dynamic couple, keeping viewers tuned in weekly. On Valentine’s Day weekend (2011), they became engaged. The romantic proposal included a hot air balloon ride and a night under the stars with smores, in San Diego.
They were invited back to participate on Big Brother 13 (summer 2011). Rachel and Brendon showed their competitive spirits and determination, and as a result, Rachel won the game and the top prize. By doing so, they proved that true love really does “conquer all!”
To the delight of their fans the dynamic duo were at it again, as part of the cast of contestants on CBS's Emmy Award winning, The Amazing Race (20) (Winter 2012). In place of vetos and evictions they had road blocks and pit stops to contend with, but one thing was certain, Brenchel fans eagerly cheered them on to their third place finish.
Rachel and Brendon are now happily married (Sept 8, 2012). The wedding aired on WEtv's My Fair Wedding on December 15, 2012. This active couple has appeared on episodes of CBS’s The Bold and The Beautiful, The Price is Right and WEtv's My Fair Wedding.
In 2015, the couple announced the coming birth of their first child.
Adora Borealis Villegas was born April 8 at the UCLA BirthPlace Westwood at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, weighing in at 6 lbs., 10 oz. and 19.5 inches long.
“She’s our perfect little angel!” the proud new parents tell PEOPLE.
As for their unique name choice?
“We came up with the name Adora because we adore her, she’s ‘Adora-ble,’ and we wanted a Spanish name to celebrate her Hispanic heritage,” the couple says. “Borealis was Rachel’s must-have middle name because she’s always been infatuated with the natural beauty of the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights. Of course Brendon loves the name because he is a physicist and science nerd! We love the name because Adora lights up our lives like the Borealis lights up the night sky.”
We look forward to what they have in store for us next! Rachel, Brendon & Adora have received numerous congratulatory messages from loyal fans on both Facebook and Twitter. Please join in on their FANTASTIC journey!
